Re: Gym for quadriplegics in melbourne
Hey Bill I am a C5-C6 quadriplegic I have only recently got out of rehab. The Glen Eira Sports and aquatic centre Is a very accessible gym, they are currently working with the royal talbot to better improve there services.
Currently they have a few machines where the seats swing out of the way so you can wheel your chair in, a few cable machines where you'll be able to do a range of different exercises, you would also be able to join in the boxing class.
They are looking into getting a hand cycle into their spin cycle classes, and are also looking into getting a wheelchair fitness class into their timetable.
hope this has helped
