The lead story on the front page of The Courier-Times 15 years back today was about volunteers grabbing a lot of junk, broken furniture and other undesirable things from an area south of U.S. Hwy. 40 close County Road 425 West. The exertion was driven by individuals from the Indiana Environmental Health Association's East-Central Chapter.

An independent photograph close to the base left of the page indicated Ross and Brice Ankrom riding bikes in downtown Spiceland.

There was an anecdote about the region's nourishment and drink assessment and how it was being put to use too concerns communicated by some about paying another (new) charge.
