Emergency wheelchair and scooter assistance

Like all vehicles and mechanical items, wheelchairs can breakdown. If you are on your own or out and about in the community it can be difficult to repair punctures, flat batteries and mechanical failures. You may want to consider purchasing Emergency Wheelchair and Scooter Assistance from the likes of RACV. RACV offer emergency wheelchair and scooter assistance as an additional service to an existing roadside assistance membership, or as a service you can purchase on its own. Your subscription provides for up to 8 call outs per year.

This service operates throughout Victoria and is available any time of the day or night. It will help get you on your way again by repairing mechanical failures, flat batteries, or punctures. For more serious breakdowns a taxi can be dispatched to take you where you need to go.

A one-off establishment fee is required followed by an annual fee, however if you are under 21 years of age or already a member of RACV your establishment fee will be waived. If you hold an RACV membership with high cover, wheelchair and scooter assist may even be complimentary.

If you want to purchase this service you will need to complete an application form or call RACV on 13 11 11 directly to subscribe over the phone.
