MATCHMAKING ERROR IN BATTLE ROYALE

So i downloaded, installed and launched Fortnite today, but when i try to play Battle Royale mode for some reason i get "Failed to connect to Matchmaking servers" everytime i try starting search for a game to play. Anybody else experiencing something similar? is there any fix for it?
