health issues

I've not been on for a while but would appreciate any help or advise PLEASE My 6 year old male Dalmatian Rupert keeps crying out in pain then laying down or sits there smiling at me then a few moments later he is running around like a lunatic he is not off his food wee and poo are normal. He is booked into the vets on Monday evening but i have no idea where the pain is coming from he is a healthy energetic dog but doesn't want to play with my 7 year old female Dalmatian. Its so sad to see him not himself and am looking for any ideas what it could be
Please help.
