Hi everyone.
18months or so ago I was involved in an accident at work, I was hit from behind with a forklift. After going a few days with only mild pain things went back to normal, until 6 months ago when I was lifting something at work I experienced a sharp pain which radiated from neck to shoulder. Since then I have had physio, meds a ct, X-ray and an MRI. The X-Ray showed that I have a chipped c7 (3or so months ago) and I had an MRI this week which showed I have mild spurs on my c1 and c2. I am currently on nerve medication because both my physio and gp think I may have nerve damage or pinching somewhere due to some of my symptoms (head aches, arm tingles, constant pressure at the base of my neck and radiating pain through my neck and right shoulder)
I dot really know what I am asking here. But would anyone be able to shed some light on what I should do about the bone spurs at least? I am in a constant state of discomfort and mild to, I guess 7/10 pain.. Will the spurs grow if proper action isn't taken? My gp has put me on lyrica which is a nerve medication and has said give it a try for a few weeks to see how it goes but I may need to visit a neurosurgeon or a pain specialist... I Have been off and on light duties at work for 5 or so months. I work in a coolstore (1-5deg) and my job mostly consists of manual work such as, lifting, pushing etc.
Thanks in advance for any info.
